Extremely capable, Great 1st DSLR
This is just what I wanted. It's not complicated, but very capable. Still far beyond my current capabilities, but between the camera and the Dummies book by Julie Adair King, I am taking noticeably better photos already. I am going to get a lot of use out of this camera, and the more I learn, the more impressed I am with it. Not having video is not a negative for me. It's a great camera for still images and that's what I want it to do. I bought a 0 HD flip camera for video. If you are deciding between brands, the others are probably really good too. But I am thoroughly happy with what I chose, and I did not spend way too much. If you are coming from a point and shoot like I was, this is a great choice.

Poor Customer service
I love the camera. However, the lens can broken. When I contacted the seller, I was told that I needed to return the entire camare instead of just the lens. I didn't have time due to trip so I purchased a new lens locally and not it works just fine.

Amazing
I really liked my camera. I ain't an expert but I just loved!
I can take really nice pictures with amazing quality. Really impressed!
That's all.

Had it a little over a month, and I love my camera.
I've been debating between getting the Nikon d3000 and Canon XS. I never thought I would own anything other than a Canon because I was a long time Canon user. I wasn't really sure which way I would lean until I grabbed a hold of both of them in my hands at a store. I liked the way the Nikon felt in my hands. Canon just felt cheap. I've also considered Nikon d5000, but I wasn't ready to commit myself to paying that price tag for a few extras features for a beginner. For someone that is just delving into dslr and photography, I love it. I want to take photography classes so I can learn even more and improve my skills.
I get frustrated with the camera sometimes, but it's only because of my inability to understand what each function does and how to use it. I have more learning to do, which requires more patience. Now, I find myself going on random trips around Southern California just so I can take pictures and just use my camera. I take it everywhere. I know I would own this for years, but when that time comes it would be another Nikon (and it's not just because I have Nikon lenses). I love their quality. I've converted.
My only peeve, although minor, is that it doesn't have live view. I knew this going in. I thought it wouldn't be a problem because I do prefer the eye view finder, but I do take pictures with the point of view from the ground. Without live view, I really don't know what I'm taking a picture of, and I choose not to lay on the ground to find that out. I guess it will be trial and error for me and a surprise when I look at the pictures or suck it up and get down onto the ground.

Amazing!
This camera is amazing!! pictures are incredible!! easy to use! great for the price!!

Great for family room
This TV made for an awesome Christmas present, especially since I got an amazing Black Friday price on it. This is our first flat screen, and we have been very impressed with the picture quality, ease of use, and look of it hung up on our family room wall. We were a little surprised to find how much more we have to turn it up in order to hear well, but it's not any kind of dealbreaker. Overall, super pleased. Highly recommended.

Disappointed--must be a defective TV
I purchased this TV on a Sunday, was very impressed with the good price and the excellent reviews it had received, for the most part. The TV arrived by a box truck shipper on Wed at 7:30 AM, having been shipped from around 60 miles away. I had to run after the driver for his invoice, and he could only deliver it to the door without an "additional charge", but I was very happy with the speed of the delivery, carried it up the stairs, and happily set it up, expecting an upgrade from the 32" 720P Bravia I have watched for a couple of years, which is excellent and I have no gripes about, and was a big factor in "going SONY" with this one.
Unfortunately, the picture quality is poor, and I am going to send it back to SONY at their expense and they will replace it under the manufacturer's warranty within 5- 7 days of faxing them the receipt, which I did today. The problems with the TV are blurriness of numbers and images...the Olympics for example, were of a much better quality on the 2 yr old 32" ,720P Bravia than on this one. It is not extreme defect, but it is not "excellent HD" and the quality in important ways is similar to an old style television. I replaced the cable box, tried a new HDMI cord, and ran a newer DVD through it that should have had an excellent picture. Nothing was better. The words "stunning, and "amazing" that I've read in the reviews here certainly don't apply. There is also too much black in the picture, the black colors predominate. Hopefully this is a defective product and these will not be problems with the new one they send...if so, then I can't understand the other reviews here and I probably have forgone the "return" option (which would cost about 25% of the cost considering the restocking fee and shipping).
I must say the customer/tech support with SONY has been excellent so far, and I hope after the replacement arrives, I can write another review saying "the picture is stunning". If anyone has comments or suggestions I'd love to hear them.

Red flashing and some sound issues
This TV has pretty decent sound and picture, but is plagued by a few issues which could likely be resolved with a simple firmware update (if sony ever provides it)
I am talking about the "red flash" issue. This is actually an issue involving automatic jumping up and down of color temperature during normal operation of the set, but has garnered the name "red flashing" since it can become very noticeable during scenes with lots of red in the background as you can plainly see the colors getting brighter and dimmer at random times during the scene. Scenes with deep blue backgrounds (The Daily Show) can exhibit some pretty severe blue flashing at times too.
The sound pops and crackles a bit when you change channels on this TV, and there is a little barely audible fuzz and static on the built-in speakers. The sound on certain HDMI connected devices may not work if you turn them on before turning the TV on. I think these issues also boil down to the firmware.
The inputs on this TV are awesome, and the experience is otherwise great, and the price is very affordable.
If the above mentioned issues can be addressed by firmware (if only the red flash, since I find it most annoying) I will gladly upgrade my rating to 5 stars.

Sony KDL-40V5100
Received in excellent condition, mounted to wall with easy (and only needed one person). Has been an excellent choice in picture, sound and ease of use. Would recommend a PS3 to go with it for ease of accessing internet, and streaming video from Netflix. Haven't played any games on it yet, but sure with the picture quality already seen it will be a great time.

Stay Away from V series
I bought this TV for my living room. This is my fourth Sony TV. I thought it would be great. I have it hooked up with a comcast cable box via HDMI. Every time I went from an SD channel to an HD channel or HD channel ot SD channel my screen went "BLACK", but I still had sound. I had to go back to an SD or HD channel and then it would allow me to change channels. This is crap. I upgraded the firmware, changed the cable box and hdmi cable. It still did the same thing. At times it also shows split screen as well. I am sending it back. I am giving Sony another chance. I recently purchased the W5100 series and could not be more thrilled. Stay away from the V series it is junk!
Watch Band Sizing Tool

Manufacturer: Orient
TWO (2) Extra Pins Included. Manufactured to strict quality standards this link remover is the best heavy duty twist movement tool to remove stubborn watch links. Most link removers use a small handle, but this larger model makes it easier to remove links. Link remover will push the pin out, and you will need a small needle nose plier to fully pull the pin out. Simply align the pin with the tool and carefully twist tool knob to push the pin out. Watch Band Link Remover for Bracelet Adjustments Watch Watch Band Link Remover for Bracelet Adjustments. Twist design makes it easy to remove or add links to your watch band. Every watch collector needs a watch adjuster as part of their collection. Stop wasting money taking it to a jewler when you can do it yourself. It pays for itself after 2 uses and lasts for many years. Easily alter your watch at home without scratching the band. Fits most bands using a pin system to hold links together. Comes with two extra pins for replacing bent pins. Many watch bands use directional link pins, therefore you must push in the direction of the pin. Improper use of the tool will damage the pin and your tool. Please be careful when pushing the pin. It should easily slide out with some force. If you are pushing very hard and no movement, try using some lubricant like WD40 to help the pin slide out.
- Heavy duty large size
- Works on most band links
- Large handle powerful twist action to remove links
- Works on extra wide bands too
- Best band tool on the market and top seller

Did not work for me
I very carefully removed the pin, that was not an issue but when i went to place the pin back in i kept braking the needles, I removed another pin from another link i wasnt using to make sure i was installing it properly. It turns out i was putting the pin the right way in but the needle was not strong enough to install the pin. Maybe it was the watch or something but this product did not work for me.

good product
I highly recommend this product. If you have even 2 watches that need a link or two removed, it is worth the purchase price. I found it easy to use. I was able to remove several links from 2 different watchbands in about 15 minutes.

It Works!
The product arrived and was extremely easy to use. It came with additional pins in case they get lost or break in the future.

a good buy
It's cheap and it works. I broke one of the little pushers figuring things out, but the tool came with a bunch of spares. Money well spent.

Inexpensive and works well
I'm pretty happy with this tool- it was inexpensive, is relatively robust, and it works. I've used this on my Omega Seamaster Pro, and Cartier Pasha with stainless steel bands. In both cases, it worked very well with no problems. Sure, it would be nice if it were made of solid metal, but then it would cost much more. The biggest issue I found was making sure all the parts are aligned when you are re-inserting pins- if you have to force something, you're not doing it right. Just take care and use a bit of common sense, and everything will work fine.

Not much to complain about
I bought my submariner in 2002. I dont have a lot of money so it was a hard decision to spend so much of it on a watch. I have no regrets! I would have to buy a lesser watch every two years or so anyway when it broke or the finish faded. I dont wear my two toned sub everyday so I have no accuracy issues. The combination of high quality stainless steel and 18k gold for me is perfect for dinner with a legislator at a fancy restaurant or sitting at poolside. As I see the prices going up and up I know that I made the right choice. My son, and his son, will receive, display and enjoy this watch one day. You cant say that with a timex

Submariner Whatch Review
I purchased mine for 80.00 locally (Portland, OR.). So much for Amazon pricing policies! Better buy a winding machine though...will only run for 2 days without wearing or winding. You would think a 00 watch could at least keep time for longer than that without help! Other than that; cool gadget but take care...many fakes available.

Beautiful watch that keeps great time.
I am always bewildered by the occassional statements of Rolex owners that complain of their watch's inaccuracy. For Rolex and other great Swiss watches that have certified movements, the certification is from Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC), the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute, which is the institute responsible for certifying the accuracy and precision of wristwatches in Switzerland. The standard for COSC as a chronometer is -5/+6 seconds per day. This figure will be consistent wheather it is fast or slow. Any Rolex owner with a COSC certified chronograph movement, that isn't keeping time within standards, simply needs to have it timed by a Rolex technician. I have a submariner that has been a nearly daily wear watch for 20 years. It has been within COSC specs, +1 second per day, for 20 years. I remember when I bought it new, the Rolex technician explained the mechanism to me and said it is nearly impossible to make a watch run at 0, and since nobody wants a watch to run slow, it is safer to time the watch for 1 second fast.

Victor 007
I love my Rolex, I love it for it's style and the feeling that can only be achieved with elegance. I know people wonder how can one justify paying thousands of dollars for a time piece, but it's all about the being good to yourself and loving quality and style !
My watch has never lost time as long as I wear it, but she is a jealous mistress and so when I wear one of my other watches for more then 48 hours my Rolly may stop. Other then that the service, performance and support of my Rolex and the Rolex Brand is tremendous !!

Tops for what it is
The major consumer magazine gave the Rolex an excellent review about 2 years ago and I concur. First, if as someone stated, their Rolex is off by 30 seconds a day, it is out of specs and Rolex will repair it. That same magazine gave it very high marks for accuracy. A Rolex is a piece of jewelry that is hand made beautifully, and tells time as well as is possible for a mechanical / automatic winding watch. It is truly water resistant and the currently used crystal is almost indestructible. I have had mine for about 10 years and I wear it 24 hours a day, every day. It still shine like fine jewelry, which you won't get after a year or two with a copy, let alone after 10 years. The sweep second hand, fit and finish, and durability carry old world beauty. Maybe it can't be appreciated by some high tech only people, but this is one techy who truly appreciates it. Yes, they are expensive and not for everyone, but if you can appreciate it and have the money, it is worth it. Faces and hands can be changed by Rolex any time you want and when cleaned and checked after about 5 year, it comes back looking like it is brand new.
FurReal Friends Lulu My Cuddlin Kitty Cat
Manufacturer: Hasbro
- The most realistic faux cat ever! A kitty all set for cuddlin'. Lulu blinks her eyes, moves her ears, licks her paw, and more. You'll almost think she's real!
Amazon.com Review:
FurReal Friends' My Cuddlin Kitty Lulu is not your average toy cat. A great new friend for the little pet lovers in your home, Lulu features life-like qualities and five touch sensors will have your children amazed by how realistic she looks and acts. Designed for children ages four and up, Lulu is a neat toy for introducing your preschooler to pets and their care.
| ||||
|
Lulu is the size of an actual cat, though her mechanical body is much lighter in weight, and she even sheds--thankfully not as much as a real cat, and you don't ever have to worry about allergies.
Everything about Lulu is amazingly realistic. Her soft white fur and adorable sounds make it hard not to pet her--especially when she rolls over for a tummy rub or cleans her face with her paw. Lulu has five convenient touch sensors located on her head, back and stomach. It seems that Lulu may also be able to detect motion or sound--when you walk by without touching her she will purr and meow "hello" at you. (To keep this from happening you can easily turn her off.)
Adorable and Hard Not to Love
Though Lulu is designed for children, we can see how she would appeal to all age groups including adults--who wouldn't love having a fuzzy realistic toy kitty to cuddle with? Lulu's interactivity makes her a great addition to the family or as a first pet for your preschooler to care for. She even includes a brush for grooming and an adoption certificate that proclaims your child as her rightful owner. Once Lulu sits on your lap and purrs, you and your child will not be able to help falling for her.
As a small warning, since Lulu is electronic, she should only be used indoors and away from water or hot temperatures that could damage her mechanics.
What's in the Box
Cat figure, a plastic comb, an adoption certificate, and four "C" batteries.

Great toy, great learning tool...
We received Lulu very quickly, she was in perfect condition, and we all love her. Great way to teach a young child how to care for a pet. Sort of a "test run" in preparation for the real thing. Minus the scooping of the litter box. And the catitude....
Thanks again for making the acquisition of this hard-to-find toy a reality for my little boy!

LuLu is a perfect gift!
I bought LuLu for my 2 year old granddaughter for her birthday & she absolutely loves it. It is so life-like, looks like a large cat, purrs, licks it's paws, turns it's head & rolls over to be petted on it's tummy. Worth every penny!!!!!

Cute
I got this cat for my 84 year old mother who recently downsized to an apartment and gave up her Siamese cat to a loving home. When she saw this FurReal cat she loved it. This was a fun surprise for her at Christmas. Many people have thought the cat is real. Purring sounds like a cat as do motions mimic those of a real feline. Great fun, no work.

Wonderful Lulu!
My granddaughter loves Lulu! This pet she can take places a real cat can't go! If she is happy then I'm overjoyed to have found a gift she enjoys so much!

Lulu is adorable
Lulu arrived with all functions on and operating. I wrapped her and placed her under the tree for my little granddaughter. Whenever I turned the treelights on or off, she meowed. (Scared the piano movers, they thought we had wrapped a live kitty.) We finally removed the package so the little one wouldn't hear the meowing before she opened the gift. Lulu is precious, but you will have to turn her off before bedtime.
